Air Canada Baggage Policy

Before you begin your journey with Air Canada ensure you are well aware about the baggage policy so that in case your baggage goes overweight you know what to do! For a hassle-free journey do read our policies mentioned below.

Carry On Baggage

  • You can bring one personal item along with one carry-on baggage when boarding Air Canada.
  • Any additional baggage will need to be checked for a fee at the airport.
  • The standard measurement of the baggage should be 55 cm in height, 23 cm in depth, and 40 cm in width, while a personal item should be 33 cm in height, 16 cm in depth, and 43 cm in width.
  • Though no weight limit is mentioned for carry-on baggage, your personal items should be light enough.

Checked Baggage

  • In the case of regular checked baggage, the maximum weight per bag is 23 kg, and the maximum dimension per bag is 158 cm.
  • If you are carrying additional checked baggage then the overweight Limits should be 23 to 32 kg and the oversized Limits should be 160 to 292 cm.
